There are plenty of ways to get involved with the Residence Halls Association (RHA). If you’re looking for a leadership role, we have something for you. You can also join a committee. If you just want a way to give back to your community, we have something for you!
Run for Hall Council
If you live in an affiliated residence hall then you are automatically a member of that hall’s Hall Council! If you’d like to take on a leadership role, elections for the Hall Council Officers are held every September. These roles are open to residents of each affiliated hall, and each council needs a team of students to plan events, advocate for their community, and represent their hall in the RHA Assembly.
If positions become available throughout the year, we fill them as needed. We always announce those vacancies in the RHA Newsletter. Keep an eye out!
Join a Committee
Some of our RHA committees are open to residents of affiliated councils, even if you’re not on your Hall Council. It’s a great way to get involved in campus-wide initiatives and connect with other students who care about residential life.
Committees that are open to residents include: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), Marketing Services, Programming Services, and Sustainability, Housing Advocacy, and Dining Efforts (SHADE).
