MORHA Conference (The Michigan Organization of Residence Hall Association):

All colleges and universities within the state of Michigan meet at this conference to go over legislation that affects all schools throughout the state. The conference consists of business, but also different forms of entertainment that include: philanthropy events, dances, rock climbing, school rallies, and more, depending on the year. Student leaders across the state also put on exciting and informative programs for the student delegations, with the purpose of taking back ideas to improve resident life at your own university. This year’s annual MORHA conference will be held at Central Michigan University in late October.
More information will be available soon on the MORHA website at:

GLACURH (The Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls):

All schools within the Great Lakes region affiliated with RHA attend this conference. This is very similar to the MORHA conference but consisting of more schools and more-encompassing legislation. This is a great opportunity tio gain new perspective from out-of-state students within your region, and to form new connections in a relaxed atmosphere. This year’s the annual GLACURH conference will be held at Indiana State Univeristy from October 31-November 1.

NACHURH is a conference which consists of nine regions of schools, including several international schools, and they all gather together for a weekend during the summer. The purpose of this event is to bring together students from all over the world to share and exchange ideas, and to disseminate the national agenda for the following academic year. This is the largest event associated with RHA and includes over 400 schools, and more than 2,000 student leaders and advisors. This year’s annual NACURH conference will be held at North Dakota State University.

Business Meetings:

Each year, there are three business meetings (held in October, January, and April) at different universities/colleges throughout Michigan. All of these meetings are for MORHA (The Michigan Organization of Residence Hall Association) affiliated schools. Michigan schools come to discuss all matters of business, legislation, and to elect new board members. Throughout the year different pieces of legislation regarding the functioning and operations of RHA throughout the state, are written and then brought to the MORHA delegation to be edited and either approved or rejected. These weekend long gatherings are not all business-centric and often include different types of entertainment and activities.
